The past three nights the lone Malachite has been plagued with dreams and images from Seraphina. A woman with three eyes, a group of unfamiliar people with a small bug of some kind; and then a vision of him with these people traveling together. He wakes in the dark and finds comfort in his bear totem which also gives him a direction to head, a bear can be heard to the east. He cleans up his camp and heads that way.
Sai didn’t sleep well that night. The sight of limbs being roasted and cooked, the smell that pierced into her dreams. Being woken up, however gently, by a well-muscled stranger, was an easy way to have her on edge. He introduced himself as Malachite, traveling alone in the same direction. With cannibals running around, she figures they could all use some extra protection. It wasn’t long down the trail when another traveler was going the same way. A human by the name of Arkello, riding the most bizarre carriage Sai and Hung have ever seen. There were these things called “gears'' that would aid the horses, lightening the load. At first, an argument between him and Malkey kept the party at a healthy walking pace instead of the ride that Sai was seeking, things were soon on the mend as the heroes continued to Trostenwald.

The streets were packed and busy, filled with the scent of food venders and wet earthy air from the lake to the east of the town. The party went towards the docks, where a fishing tournament was being held. Due to Sai’s history with large bodies of water, she stayed behind drinking with Malkey. Meanwhile, Arkello, Hung, and Malachite tried their hand at catching some fish. Arkello was victorious, bringing in a whole 290 lbs of fish! After the tournament and betting winnings were obtained, the party was approached by a man looking for someone to announce the fishing derby champion to honor Starosta Fryda Langer at the feast after the events are over. Sai drunkenly and enthusiastically volunteered.
